The Mouth is the first work of the collection titled Seduction, by the artist Tiago Olliver, who draws inspiration from elements that express the enthusiastic gaze about his life experiences.
The work awakens and invites the observer to connect to an energy generated by the possibilities of an artistic structure, which brings a three-dimensional perspective, linked to the orbital movement of those who admire the double sided art-work of equal impact. The fascinating outline of The Mouth in neon lights and all of its details, make the sculpture a unique and original image that promotes a continuous dialogue between spectator and the artwork.
The teeth seem to break away from what would be consider the standard of beauty. They complement the luxury of the sparkle of the Swarovski’s crystals that, delicately but in a striking way, embroider the forms that lead the spectator of the artwork to travel through the infinitude of the artist's language stamped through a palette of vibrant colors derived from red.
Tiago Olliver conceptualize through “The Mouth” the idea of the creative force of the voice, the power of words and the connectivity of the human being with the world.
The balanced mixture (blend) of different textures such as oil paint and acrylic spray paint fuses to elements like Swarovski crystals of different sizes applied on an acrylic plate (plexiglass), neon lights and steel that surrounds the seductive shape of the sculpture of 160 cm x 120 cm.
